PokerStars Announces Exciting WCOOP Boot Camp

Get ready for the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) as PokerStars prepares to host the WCOOP Boot Camp from August 3 to August 18, 2025. This event, a prelude to the main WCOOP series running from September 7 to October 1, 2025, offers an excellent opportunity for players to sharpen their skills and build their bankrolls.

The WCOOP Boot Camp features 137 tournaments across Low and High buy-in tiers, catering to players of all levels. With buy-ins starting as low as $1.10 for satellites and from $2.20 for tournaments, the Boot Camp is accessible to a wide range of players. The tournaments will cover various poker formats, including No-Limit Hold’em, 8-Game, HORSE, Razz, and Pot-Limit Badugi, among others.

The highlight events of the Boot Camp are two Main Events held on Sunday, August 17: the $109 NLHE Main Event Low with a guaranteed prize pool of $600,000, and the $1,050 NLHE Main Event High with a guaranteed prize pool of $400,000.

To help players prepare for the main WCOOP series, PokerStars has partnered with BBZ Poker. BBZ Poker's coaching team includes Alex 'Pwndidi' Theologis, Andy 'bowieeffect' Wilson, Jargo 'bungakat' Alavalli, and Mason 'pyefacepoker' Pye. Free strategy training sessions led by BBZ Poker’s elite team will be available during the Boot Camp.

Players can also win entry into WCOOP events through satellites available from $1.10. The Boot Camp and its satellites offer opportunities to build bankrolls and sharpen strategies ahead of the flagship WCOOP series.

A leaderboard system rewards players for their performance during Boot Camp tournaments, adding further incentives. Players from 5th to 8th on the Boot Camp Leaderboard will receive a $2,500 Silver WCOOP Ticket Bundle Power Pass. Players from 9th to 100th on the Leaderboard will receive a $109 Bronze Power Pass. The top 4 players on the Leaderboard will receive a $10,300 Gold WCOOP Ticket Bundle Power Pass.

To participate in the WCOOP Boot Camp Ticket Machine, players must opt-in through the Challenges window on the PokerStars client from July 31. Each completed challenge earns a player a ticket for the Ticket Machine prize draw, with a total of $150,000 in WCOOP tickets up for grabs.

The WCOOP Boot Camp is designed to help players practice, test new strategies, and get in the zone before the WCOOP kicks off. Additional details about the 2025 WCOOP will be released in the coming weeks.

PokerStars Ambassador and WCOOP Champion Benjamin 'Spraggy' Spragg commented on the importance of preparation for the WCOOP, saying, "The WCOOP Boot Camp is a great way for players to get ready for the main event. It's a chance to test strategies, build bankrolls, and get in the zone before the series starts."
