Stuttgart, Germany - For those planning to travel by train and bus to Stuttgart's Pariser Platz before Saturday, there's a workaround to the current construction disruptions. The German Railway (Bahn) advises passengers to enter 'Bahnhof Bad Cannstatt' as their destination when buying a ticket. This temporary solution is valid until Friday, when the Neckar Valley Railway line becomes fully operational again.

The new Stuttgart 21 through station, located at Bahnhof Bad Cannstatt, is now available on the Neckar Valley rail route since Friday. This major infrastructure project, designed by Christoph Ingenhoven, replaces the old terminal station with a more efficient underground layout. Partial operation is planned from December 2026, with full regional traffic expected until mid-2027.

However, the construction on the Neckar Valley Railway between Tübingen and Stuttgart has caused some changes to the route. Passengers from the Zollernalb district currently have to switch to replacement buses in Tübingen when traveling to Stuttgart's main station. The current end stop for these passengers is at the Pariser Platz, which is not integrated into the ticket system as a main station replacement.

The construction, particularly the Wendlingen curve construction, is a significant change to the railway route between Tübingen and Stuttgart. This construction is expected to allow trains to run directly from Tübingen to Stuttgart Airport in the future.

In light of these changes, the Bahn advises purchasing two tickets: one from Balingen to Tübingen and another from Reutlingen to Stuttgart. The price for a ticket to Bahnhof Bad Cannstatt will be the same as to the Stuttgart main station or the Pariser Platz.

It's important to note that no fare information or ticket sales are possible for a trip from the Zollernalb district to Stuttgart (main station or Pariser Platz) currently. Online ticket sales of the German Railway confirm that entering 'Bahnhof Bad Cannstatt' as the destination works.

The construction on the Neckar Valley Railway affects the route between the Zollernalb district and Stuttgart's main station. Passengers are advised to check the latest updates and plan their journeys accordingly. For more information, visit the German Railway's website or contact their customer service.
